A girl's gotta do...

sorry for the bad quality of pictures!

A girl, a boy, Paris and food. There's three love stories here, that all started way before this moment: the girl and the boy, the girl and Paris and the girl and food. Which one plays the lead? Sorry to disappoint, but this one is not about the girl and the boy.

The girl had a couple of days to spend in Paris, while her boyfriend had to be there for work. So what does a girl do besides acting à la Parisienne, trying to look intellectual while reading a book at a café or strolling around her favourite quartiers? Yes, she looks for food.

And not just any food. Anyone who claims himself to be a foodie and knows his way around Paris, must at least have heard once about the restaurant Frenchie. Two Frenchie alums escaped the kitchen to put their own spin on it. The result is Luz Verde, a great Mexican cocktail bar / restaurant in the verrrry happening district calle SoPi (right south of Pigalle).

The order of the evening included guacamole, octopus, ceviche, tacos and an overkill of cocktails. The food was good, especially considering the prices. If we wouldn't have gone crazy on the liquor, we would have gotten out with a €50 bill. I really would advise anyone to go there, not just for Luz Verde, but also to explore the area. The place was packed at about 8.30 PM, so making a reservation isn't excessive luxury.

Do you have any Paris hotspots? Keep me posted!

Love,
Julie
