Bottom's up!
HEJ KIDS! Nothing that makes me happier than food and drinks after a day of work. Or before a day of work. I tried keeping the holiday spirit alive with some homemade lemonade after I got back home last night. So refreshing!
On Monday evening I suddenly had an idea: ginger syrup! I don't know why it suddenly popped into my head. Might be because I'm looking for something to replace my usual honey-ginger-lemon tea now that summer is on its way. Weather goes to show.
Anyway I came home, whipped up the syrup after a recipe of David Lebovitz (gotta love him) and ta-daaaa: a myriad of possibilities - what should I do with this gold colored liquid? Cocktails, mocktails... Yogurt topping? The answer came quite easily. Some delicious ginger lemonade!
For the ginger syrup, I send you to the website of the master himself (click). Once that's done, take a longdrink glass, add 4 tablespoons of syrup and fill up the rest with some ice-cold sparkling or still water. I love adding little extras like some cucumber, a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint. Bottom's up!
Any ideas on what I could do next with this ginger syrup? And what other syrups should I try making?
Love,
Julie
